Department of Food Science And Nutrition - Activities of the Year ( 2010 – ’11) The department was established in 1975. It offers guidance & support for students’ concerns and introduces students to professionals in various areas of the nutrition field. The teaching faculty of the dept while performing their role of information and knowledge dissemination, also strive heed to make tangible contributions to the advancement of knowledge by undertaking activities in to the different aspects of Food Science & Nutrition. The department de force lies not only in inculcating a sense of efficient household management based on sound scientific footing, amongst its students but also nourishing their activities ranging from teaching to Food Testing and dietary and family counseling. The other activities of the FSN are

     • Organizing seminars, exhibitions etc.,

     • Celebrating Breast Feeding Week, World Nutrition Day, World Food Day etc.,

     • Arranging special lectures
